Drifta Maxtrax Bag
Size: 1200 x 350 x 70 mm
Weight 1.50 kg, Fits one or two pair (two or four maxtrax). Made in our Drifta Canvas factory, in Gloucester NSW. Australian wax converters canvas..
Neat canvas bag, to hold one or two pair (two or four maxtrax) . in Camo canvas, or green canvas.
Small handle at the front, not too big so it won’t flap around..
Bootlined top, so the maxtrax won’t rub thru the canvas. Bootliner is able to be hosed clean.
Marine carpet base, easy to take out and hose out..
Three sided easy run large chunky YKK zips..
Weatherproof flap over the zip..
Inside has a canvas pocket, with a velcro close, to hold straps and other items.
The orange straps that come with the maxtrax, can easily fit in here..
Short carry handle, that won’t flap around in the wind.
I’ve made up these custom straps, bit like motorbike straps.. so just the right size to hold the max trax on the roofrack. Short side is 450 mm, with a loop end, and long part is 700 mm with a loop end..
This is the best, and easiest way to secure items to your roofrack. A loop in the end of the strap, fits around the roof bar, or mesh. It can’t come undone.
And the length can be set, so it’s always easy to do back up again. Excess strap is secured with small piece of included double sided velcro.
You can also get the straps with the metal thumb buckle. Although, unlike the plastic clip, the excess strap has to be undone, do pull thru the buckle..
But if just using for the maxtrax, or say an Oztent, then the excess can be trimmed to just the right length, so it can be say 150 mm longer than needed, and this can be just tucked under the strap after pulling tight..
I have three max trax under the water in this pic, so when I pulled them out they are covered in mud, and dirty water.. not something you want to put back on your roofrack. So if they are in a bag, yes the bag will get dirty, but that’s fine, you can hose it out when you get home.. otherwise you’ll have mud dripping all over your vehicle..
if it’s wet sand from the beach, then also you don’t want this dropping all over the top of your vehicle.. so the bags are a great idea…also helps protect the max trax, even though they are UV stabilized, and also stops people noticing them on your roofrack, and possibly pinching them..
