Well this is an exciting new product.. snow peak have so many varieties of tents and tarps, it took me a while to get my head around it all, and find the products suitable for Aus.. but these tarps I think will change how a lot of people camp.. it provides a very quick setup, large tarp, that is very compact folded up, extremely high quality, can be configured many different ways, and provides a huge area under cover, for protection from the sun, rain or cold.. a firepit can be used at either end, or if careful, in the center.. if you’re worried about sparks, then don’t use it underneath, but so far we haven’t had any issues.. the ridge sits quiet high, the poles are 2.8 m high, so the ridge probably sits about 2.5 m high.. you can combine the sides with various length tent poles, to create openness, or protection from the wind.. both ends can also be semi closed in.. also, tents, combine very well with this setup, sit an oztent awning under the side, or any dome tent.. so this tarp is a real game changer I think, we won’t go without it again, and means you don’t need to worry about taking a crappy gazebo, or a blue tarp with a dozen poles.. simply two poles, means this is very quick and easy to setup..

Plenty of room underneath.. we have the sides without poles, but easy to add poles to lift the sides up..

Lots of coverage.. this could easily sit a dozen people underneath.

The pro series from snow peak, with superior Teflon and UV impregnated material..

These are a big tarp.. only one size.. ideal if a few people camping together.. if just one family, better with the medium hexa tarp..

Two x 2. 8 m poles, these come in 5 parts, so they pack in the same bag as the tarp.. they are 30 mm aluminium poles, they are very strong..

So ideal shade and weather protection around your camp.. at night keeps all the dew off , sides can be lowered for wind protection, this is a very versatile bit of kit..

Combine with any style tents also.. many dome tents have a small living area, so the combined setup of the hexa evo tarp is perfect..

Smaller dome tents have no outside living area, so again perfect to combine with the hexa range of tarps..
